Dedicated to using the transformative power of music and community arts to enhance health, wellness, and social connection
Our Mission harness the transformative power of music and community arts to promote health, wellness, and social change. Through innovative programs and partnerships, we empower individuals, foster connected communities, and drive meaningful impact for those facing social, health, and systemic challenges.
Our initiatives include therapeutic music workshops, interdisciplinary arts projects, and grassroots community music programs. Through partnership working and a multi-agency approach, we amplify voices at the grassroots level, foster inclusive participation, and influence policy to prioritize the role of the arts in social and health care settings.

The Songversations Project, an initiative by Innovatrix Music CIC, is a community-centered program designed to improve mental well-being and social cohesion among women through group singing. This practice-led initiative emphasizes the transformative power of music and lyric analysis to foster connection, empowerment, and mental health resilience.
85% of participants reported an improvement in mood after attending sessions. 70% indicated they felt more connected to their community. 90% expressed that the act of singing helped alleviate feelings of stress and anxiety.
At Songversations, we believe everyone has a voice worth sharing. You don’t need to be a professional singer—this is about expression, not perfection. Our sessions are designed to be supportive and pressure-free, so you can explore your voice at your own pace. Many participants start with nerves, but they often find joy and confidence in the process.
Feeling nervous is completely normal! We create a safe and relaxed environment where you’re free to participate as much or as little as you like. No one is judged or singled out, and we take small steps to help you build confidence. By the time you’re ready to sing in a group, you’ll feel supported and empowered by the community around you.
Sharing is always your choice. While we encourage participants to reflect and connect, we respect everyone’s boundaries. If you choose to share, we listen with care and confidentiality. If not, that’s completely okay too—your comfort is our priority.
We understand that music and conversations can bring up strong emotions. Our facilitators are trained in trauma-informed practices to ensure the space is safe, supportive, and respectful. Safeguarding policies are in place to protect all participants, and we’re always available to provide additional support if needed. Your well-being is at the heart of everything we do.
